Guyana is known as the land of many waters. This is the beginning of a hike to Kumu falls outside of Lethem.
As you travel to Kumu Falls, you will travel through two Amerindian Villages.
As you walk through the jungle to the falls, keep your eyes peeled.
There are many opportunities to see birds, butterflies and insects, like these leafcutter ants!
You will pass many smaller water falls on the way to and from the larger falls.
Wear well fitting shoes that you dont mind getting wet.
You will be hopping from rock to rock or wading small streams to get to the falls.
The largest of the falls is a great place to take a dip in the pool at the base,
or climb up a little and get a massage!
